In 2016, the Odebrecht Foundation began using the slogan “Opportunities that Transform” to reinforce its commitment to people and their sustainable development. It is a commitment that can be proven in practice, on September 1, through nine rural entrepreneurs.
Supported by the Tribute to the Future - New Generations Program and associated with the Presidente Tancredo Neves Rural Producers’ Cooperative (COOPATAN), the entrepreneurs visited the Odebrecht S.A. Office in Salvador for a meeting with leaders from the foundation and institutions that are part of the Program for Development and Growth Integrated with Sustainability (PDCIS). During the meeting, they spoke about their achievements and life stories.
“With my example, I can show that it is possible to enjoy quality of life in the rural zone,” said Roseane Conceição, age 18, a third-year student at the Presidente Tancredo Neves Rural Family Home (CFR-PTN). “But I’m not just talking about the financial side. We become better citizens, we share our knowledge with the community and we are growing together,” she added.

For Eduardo Odebrecht de Queiroz, Executive Chair of the Odebrecht Foundation, the meeting revealed that everyone is in synergy, thinking about the future. “Our challenge is to ensure that our actions are perpetuated,” said Queiroz.
